SHOWYOUTHEROPES gained a first career win when taking a 1m2f handicap at Newmarket on Saturday.

In the colours of Moulton Racing. the son of Showcasing had been placed on his two previous racecourse outings and deserved this breakthrough success.

He had to dig deep under Jason Watson as he was carried across the track by the wayward Nanny Park. The eventual runner up Opera Wave finished with a late rattle but Showyoutheropes held on by a head.

Tom said: "He was a slow learner but he's improving with racing and it's great to see him win at our home track."
