Invictus Gold lands big HQ pot

Invictus Gold lands big HQ pot

INVICTUS Gold gave us all a day to remember when taking the £50k 3yo sprint handicap at Newmarket on Saturday.

Owned by Moulton Racing and Tommy Severn, the son of Invincible Spirit looked all class when beating a competitive field by over four lengths under Neil Callan.

Having settled in behind the leader on the far side, he travelled supremely well before hitting the front going into the Dip.

It was clear that nothing was closing and he went on to score easily.

Tom said: "That was a good performance - the fast ground has helped and he had come forward for his first run of the year. Hopefully he is a stakes horse in the making."

Another exciting sprinting prospect, Sixtiegeesbaby, also got his year off to a good start when winning under a penalty at Doncaster last week for owner Ollie Humphrey.
