WE shall have fewer easier winners than Harvard Sound who won a 7f Restricted Novice at Lingfield on Saturday in a canter.

Owned by Clipper, the son of Ten Sovereigns was second on debut at Kempton a fortnight ago and stepped up on that to win easily.

He travelled well in the hands of Neil Callan before stretching clear to win by seven lengths.

Tom said: "He has always been a horse we have liked but he hasn't been the easiest to train and Steve has been patient with him. He didn't beat much today but he did it in the style of a smart performer."
