Gallivanted on top at Kempton
GALIVANTED gained a first career success when winning at Kempton on Thursday evening.
The son of Galiway, owned by The Galivanters, landed the 1m4f restricted novice on his third racecourse outing having shaped with promise on his two previous runs last autumn.
A naturally laid-back horse, jockey Jack Mitchell settled his mount at the rear of the field.
He always had his rivals in his sights and picked up well up the straight to win by a neck.
Tom said: "We always felt he was going to get there - he is a big horse who stays well and should be competitive in staying handicaps going forward."
Galivanted was the first of four winners on the card for jockey Jack Mitchell - well done to him!
