Al Nayyir romps to Rose Bowl glory - and hat-trick for Jungle Run
AL Nayyir could not have been more impressive when taking victory in the Listed Rose Bowl Stakes at Newmarket on Thursday.
Owned by Elbashir Elhrari, the son of Dubawi was second in the Lonsdale Cup at York on his first run for us and he stepped up on that effort to win this 2mile contest in style.
Ridden by Luke Morris, Al Nayyir was settled in behind during the early stages but with two furlongs to run he was the only runner on the bridle.
When Luke said 'go' he picked up impressively to win by eight lengths.
Later that evening Jungle Run, ridden by apprentice Connor Planas backed up his recent wins at Windsor and Yarmouth when taking a 5f handicap at Southwell.
Tom said: "Al Nayyir is a lovely horse - Luke felt he had come forward from York and he did it really well. He settles, stays and has a turn of foot. We will look at Ascot for him now before targets in the Middle East next spring.
"Jungle Run is in a rich vein of form and did it really well - he has always worked well at home so it's great to see him get his act together on the track."
