Wise Eagle on target at Lingfield
The son of Free Eagle made a promising start to his carreer when fourth over course and distance a month ago and showed a promising attitude to get ff the mark at the second time of asking.
He was always well positioned by Jack Mitchell who tracked the pace before over hauling market rival Glitter Queen close home. He went on to score a shade cosily by three quarters of a length.
Tom said: "He has always been a nice horse and we gave him plenty of time last season. He has a lovely stide and will be better suited to ten furlongs on turf than a sharp mile here. He has done well to win giving 12lb to Glitter Queen and is an exciting prospect going forward."
Wise Eagle is owned by York Thoroughbreds and partners. He was purchased at the Tattersalls Ascot Breeze up Sale for £20,000 last spring.
