Upcoming runners and news

Owned by Miss Kirsten Rausing, the daughter of Worthaadd shaped with promise on debut at Kempton and can hopefully build on that effort this afternoon.

She has trained well since and has the services of leading apprentice Kieran Shoemark.

Tom said: "Obrigada has come on for her debut and should be a lot sharper today. She has an action which suggests that soft ground won't be a problem for her and I hope she is up to running a nice race."

We were delighted with Balgair's second at Kempton on Wednesday evening. He came to us having lost his way and this effort was a step back in the right direction and hopefully he can get his head in front before long.

Looking ahead, Monsieur Glory could head to Newcastle for a 1m4f handicap on Tuesday whilst Go Fox is pencilled in to make his debut at Yarmouth on Wednesday.

The sales season continues at pace and we were thrilled to pick up a Swiss Spirit filly at Tattersalls Ireland Ascot for £11,000 (see horses for sale) and next week we are headed to Fairyhouse for the Tattersalls Ireland three-day sale.

Tomorrow we open our doors for the Newmarket Open Day where we hope to welcome many people to Wroughton House Stables.
