Success for Broughtons Gold at Kempton
The son of Lethal Force, owned by Broughton Thermal Insulation, was officially beaten a nose but was awarded the race in the Steward's Room with the first passed the post deemed to have bumped him with just yards to run.
Hayley Turner was always well placed aboard Broughtons Gold and he picked up well down the outside only failing by the narrowest margin to nab Sterling Stamp. The runner-up drifted considerably left which cost us victory.
Tom said: "He is a lovely horse - watching it live I always thought he was going to get there - and then when I saw the head on I thought we probably would get in in the Steward's Room. He had a little setback after his promising run at Newmarket so it's great to get him back on track,
"It's our first winner for Mr Broughton who bred this horse. I am delighted for him."
