So close for Holy Kingdom

Owned by the Rogues Gallery Syndicate, Holy Kingdom came with a late run under Luke Morris, only narrowly failing to catch the favourite First In Line. There was added drama when a steward's equiry was called as the winner had caused interference when drifting into Holy Kingdom up the straight.

In other racing juristictions we would have been awarded the race but as is always the case in the UK, the benefit of the doubt is given to the horse that passed the post first. That said, we were incredidbly proud of Holy Kingdom's effort and he is a lovely prospect for next season.

Tom said: "I am obviously delighted with his effort but gutted not to win. When the margins are that small we shall never know but he has run a great race and we know we have a lovely horse for the big staying races next year."
