Smooth debut success for Crystallium

CRYSTALLIUM looked an exciting prospect when winning a 7f Fillies' Restricted on debut at Chelmsford on Thursday afternoon.

Owned by Elaine Nolan and Paul Hancock, the daughter of Expert Eye had worked well at home and we were anticipating a decent showing from her.

Drawn slightly wide in stall seven, jockey Andrea Atzeni did a good job to get her settled on the girths of the leader Peace Of Mind.

She travelled strongly and when Andrea pushed the button on turning for home, she picked up well to win under hands and heels by three and a half lenghts.

Tom said: "Paul bought her at the breeze-ups and she has done really well since the sale. Her work has been good and we were anticipating a good run from her.

"Physically she is a scopey filly who should continue to improve. I hope there's plenty more to come from her."
