Rogue Rocket gets off the mark

ROGUE Rocket got off the mark at the fourth time of asking when landing a mile apprentice handicap at Salisbury on Saturday evening.

Owned by the Rogues Gallery, the son of Recorder was given a good ride by apprentice Connor Planas and he ran out a ready winner.

He was held up towards the rear before making smooth headway with two furlongs to run. He hit the front with a furlong to run and went on to score by a two and a half lengths.

Tom said: "He has run in some strong novice events so this was a nice confidence boost for him. Connor has given him a good ride and the horse can hopefully build on this."
