Rogue Missile strikes at Chelmsford

ROGUE Missile hit the target at the third time of asking when taking a 6f Restricted Novice at Chelmsford on Sunday afternoon.

The daughter of Dandy Man, owned by the Rogues Gallery, overcame a wide draw under Connor Planas to win by a nose from the odds on favourite Time Step.

She was quick out of the stalls and Connor was able to get across to the rail. She travelled strongly and kicked for home on rounding the final bend.

The favourite was closing with everystride but the line came in time and this gutsy filly claimed victory.

Tom said: "She is a really brave filly who gives her all. She isn't the soundest but she has a great heart and really wants it. Connor has done well from a bad draw and the line has come in time.

"She is four now and the Rogues have been patient with her. We'll give her time to get over this before looking to run her again in the autumn."
