Mr Beaufort returns to winning ways

MR Beaufort gained his second win of 2022 when taking a 5f handicap at Goodwood on Wednesday afternoon.

The son of Cable Bay, owned by the Mr Beaufort Syndicate, was victorious at Wolverhampton back in March but underwent wind surgery aftrer a disappointing effort at Haydock in June.

He has been showing his old enthuiasm at home and produced a good performance to make all under Jack Mitchell, winning by a length.

Tom said: "His only disappointing run was at Haydock but the wind op  has really worked and we were confident of a good run from him. 

"He has shown plenty of speed and stuck it out well.

"His owners are a great bunch of mates and I am thrilled that their patience has been rewarded."
