Great to be back racing and Balgair ready to go!

EVERYONE is delighted that racing got back going again at Newcastle yesterday and we are very much looking forward to our first runner of the turf season tomorrow.

Yard favourite Balgair heads to Yarmouth for the feature mile handicap for new owners the Newmarket Racing Club.

He is a course and distance winner who goes well fresh and will be suited by tomorrow's quick underfoot conditions. Jack Mitchell is booked to ride.

Tom said: "Balgair won over course and distance on his seasonal return last year and although this is a stronger renewal he has trained well and looks in great shape.

"Although it will be racing unlike we have known before, it is great to get the ball rolling again and an exciting opportunity for us to showcase racing to a wider audience."

Other horses ready for action this week are Crimewave and Hunni, who head to Lingfield on Friday and Celsius and Holy Kingdom who could both line up at Newmarket's Guineas meeting.
