Eaglesglen lands Chelmsford prize
EAGLESGLEN secured a first career success when taking a 1m2f handicap at Chelmsford on Saturday evening.
The son of Gleneagles, owned by the Rogues Gallery Syndicate, was giving a strong ride by Jack Mitchell who always had his mount in the perfect postion.
Eaglesglen broke well from the stalls and was soon in a handy position on the heels of the leader. He travelled strongly in the first-time visor and Jack kicked for home rounding the final bend.
Once in the lead, Jack kept him up to his work and he won in good style by two lengths.
Tom said: "I am pleased for 'The Rogues' they have been very patient with this horse but he has rewarded this by winning well tonight. Jack was able to overcome a wide draw and he has done it well.
"He is a lovely looking horse and there should be more to come."
