Declarationoflove is a 'Super' second at Newbury

Owned by Ian Barratt, Stephen Short and Adam Signy, Declarationoflove netted just over £52,000 when finishing a six-length second to runaway winner Bengali Boys. He came from well back in the field under Oisin Murphy to take the runner-up spot in the shadows of the post.

The son of Declaration Of War was our first winner when taking a novice event at Windsor in May and also became our first Royal Ascot representative when contesting the Windsor Castle Stakes where he finishing in the midfield.

All in all, the horses continue in good form with a close third by Pheidippides in the 6f novice stakes at Nottingham last Friday. The son of Sepoy, owned by Dr Omie Rangabashyam was hampered inside the closing stages but showed a good attitude to finish as close as he did.

The wet weather is playing havoc with this weeks running plans but Sweet Vixen has already shown she handles conditions when second at Nottingham last time out. The daughter of Foxwedge should go well in a fillies' auction event at Windsor this evening.
