Daring Guest wins and yearling sales underway

DARING Guest secured his first win for three years when taking the apprentice handicap at Lingfield last Wednesday. 

The son of Fast Company has been with us since our first year training and remains invaluable as a lead horse and stalls companion.

His contribution cannot be overstated and for him to win under our apprentice Connor Planas was very special.

Connor learnt to ride aboard 'Trigger' and he has fine-tuned his work riding and stalls practice on him in recent years.

It has been a long time between drinks but he couldn't have won in easier fashion and everyone in the yard was thrilled.

Tom said: "Trigger is a massive part of our team - he is a real character and to see him win so well was a real buzz.

"All of our two-year-olds are led by Trigger and he does a wonderful job. He's a great benchmarch and works a lot better than his mark!

"When Connor first started riding out five or so years ago Trigger used to run off with him - to see him win on him is great."

The last few weeks have also seen the start of the yearling season and we have been pleased to have picked up a Dark Angel colt for the Rogues Gallery at Doncaster and a nice Time Test colt on spec at the Somerville Sale.
