Cheng Gong lands Yarmouth spoils
The son of Archipenko was unlucky not to have won at Wolverhampton last time out and gained reward with a gutsy display under David Egan.
David always had his mount to the fore and was well positioned to strike on turning for home. He kept him well covered up before hitting the front with under a furlong to run and going on to win by a length and a quarter.
Tom said: "We always felt there were races in this horse - he has been slow to learn and is just getting the hang of things now. David has given him a lovely ride and hopefully there will be more to come from him over the winter on the all-weather."
Cheng Gong was winning in the colours of David Fawdon, Richard and Stuart Marchant and Gay Jarvis.
