Celsius wins again and more 'black type' for Gypsy Spirit
The former won his second race of 2019 when taking a 5f handicap at Haydock under Luke Morris. Owned by Jon Collins, Chris Fahy and Steve Piper, this son of Dragon Pulse overcame trouble in running and ran out a ready winner by a length and a quarter.
Gypsy Spirit got to within a length of a breakthrough listed success when second in the Prix Amandine at Maisons Lafitte. The daughter of Gregorian made the running under Tony Piccone only to be caught close home. It was a typically gutsy display by a filly who always gives her all.
Tom said: "Celsius is a progressive sprinter who has bags of speed. He was unlucky at Windsor - the return to hold up tactics have worked well. There should be more to come.
"Gypsy so deserves to win a stakes race - she has run a stormer and added a few more euros to the pot."
