Celsius and Gypsy Spirit head to Glorious Goodwood

Owned by Jon Collins, Chris Fahy and Steve Piper, Celsius has been declared for the 5f Tatler Handicap tomorrow. The son of Dragon Pulse has won three of his four starts this season and has had this race as a target for some time. PJ McDonald has been booked to ride.

Tom said: "Celsius has really got his act together this season and is a sprinter on the up. He had four races in quick succession so we have freshened him up and trained him for this. He is versatile regarding ground and can hopefully be competitve up in grade. You need plenty of luck over five furlongs but we have an in-form jockey in the plate."

On Friday, Gypsy Spirit tackles the Group 3 Oak Tree Stakes where she will be ridden by Ben Curtis. She was last seen finishing second in Listed company in France and has been placed four times at Stakes level.

Tom added: "This filly has been a star - she has been placed four times in Listed races and given her owners some great days. The is ultra-competitve and she has plenty to find on form but she goes there in good shape and I think seven furlongs is her ideal trip.Hopefully she can out-run her odds."
